The Schola Cantorum Basiliensis and FHNW Academy of Music have their own research departments. Their activities reflect their respective areas of music expertise and traditions.
The Schola Cantorum Basiliensis specialises in practice-based Early Music research, with a particular focus on historical performance practice and organology.
The FHNW Academy of Music has three main research priorities: Contemporary/New Music, 19th Century Music and Music Pedagogy.
